# Market data

> Public market-discovery endpoints — events, markets, categories, calendars, prices, and search. No authentication required.

Market-data endpoints live under `/api/v1` on the API origin. They are public —
no token needed — and cover everything you browse before trading: events and
their markets, categories, exchange calendars, price history, and search.

Every failure response uses a stable machine-readable code. See
[Errors and recovery](/docs/errors) for the shared failure and retry contract.

response shapes with ready-to-copy examples.

The machine-readable OpenAPI document is available at `/api/v1/openapi.json`
on every deployment. Trading and account endpoints are listed alongside these
