Rules & Resolution
This market resolves to Yes if the Bank of Thailand’s Monetary Policy Committee adopts a policy interest rate equal to the rate immediately preceding its decision at the meeting originally scheduled for 28 October 2026.
It resolves to No if the committee decreases or increases the policy rate at that meeting.
An explicit decision to maintain the policy rate qualifies as Hold. Cancellation, postponement, or the absence of an announcement does not qualify as Hold.
“Policy rate” means BOT’s policy interest rate used for one-day bilateral repurchase transactions. Changes to commercial-bank lending rates, deposit rates, other BOT facilities, reserve requirements, or asset purchases do not count. No rounding applies.
Resolution uses BOT’s official written MPC decision announcement, published through its MPC meeting page. Another official BOT written publication may be used if it explicitly identifies the designated meeting and its decision. If Thai and English versions conflict, the official Thai version controls. Media reports, leaks, forecasts, and individual members’ views are not resolution sources.
Separate emergency decisions do not resolve this event. An earlier decision updates the rate against which the designated decision is compared. A separate later decision does not affect the result.
An unconditional rate change adopted at the designated meeting counts even if implementation is delayed. If multiple future rate levels are adopted, use the first newly adopted level in effective-date order. A proposal or conditional commitment does not count.
For a valid decision, exactly one outcome resolves Yes and the other two resolve No.
